Terang BESS

Welcome to Terang BESS

FRV Services Australia (FRV) is building the Terang Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The Terang BESS will have a total anticipated discharge capacity of 100 megawatts (MW) and a storage capacity of 200 megawatt hours (MWh).

The Terang BESS is now under construction. Once operational, it will improve the reliability of the electricity network by storing power when there is a lot of energy available (for example during the day) and releasing this stored energy when demand is higher.

FRV is a global renewable development company and is playing a key role in deliver on Australia’s renewable energy targets and fast track the renewable energy transition. FRV has a portfolio of solar and battery projects across in development or operation across NSW, Queensland, and Victoria.

Canadian Solar and TEC-C are FRV’s delivery partners for the project. Canadian Solar brings a proven track record with more than 4.7 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy projects contracted and deployed globally. TEC-C brings a near decade worth of experience in building out hybrid and high voltage energy infrastructure projects.

FRV’s current portfolio of solar farms and BESS facilities are shown below.
